Public Transport and Travel

Myki

myki is Victoria's new smart card ticketing system and replaces Metcard and V/Line tickets and paper tickets on buses in some regional cities. myki is a reusable plastic smart card that you store value on to pay for your fare on public transport.

If you currently receive the Disability Support Pension and have a Sunday Pass you will get a free concession myki in the mail. This will not occur until myki is fully operational in Melbourne so until then you should continue using your metcard and V/Line tickets. For more information on the Sunday Pass and an application form click here.

If you would like to express interest in these sessions please contact Rosetta.Scisluna@transport.vic.gov.au

Helpful Hint

The Access Travel Pass and the Companion Card can be used together so that the companion and the person with a disabilty can both travel for free.
